Girl Power!

I love Oprah. She's a strong woman. I read this article in last Tuesday edition of NST, on "Her Script for Success" :

  • Discipline, stability and inspiration which she got from her father

  • Know what you want

  • Make a difference

  • Be honest

  • Listen to your instincts

  • Believe in yourself

My Memoirs, Your Memoirs

Everybody is writing their own memoirs. Perhaps I should write one too ;-P Latest in line is Hillary Clinton.

Up up and awayyyyy...

School's Out

I dread it when school holidays starts. I just can't wait for it to end. There are just so many people about. One can get claustrophobic, really. And kids... they are all over!! It is like an invasion of the shopping mall.

Good Break, No?

It was a good 3-days-off, although it was a pretty hectic day on Monday. I sent my car for its 1st service, have lunch with the girls and Fhn at Mdm Kwan, Suria KLCC (yummy nasi bojari!) and then off to Low Yat Plaza (LYP) to get back my modem. Have anyone been to LYP? Man! It is more canggih then Imbi Plaza now (in terms of PC gadgets). I saw a lot of stuff to drool over. But who would have bought a pc casing that cost RM300?? It is cool nontheless, but for that much? I'd rather spent it on memory or graphic card or some other useful peripherals. I bought myself a cheap-o optical mouse anyhow. I may have to go back next month to get a CD-RW and perhaps an upgrade on my video card. The wants and the needs.. how am I ever going to juggle that?

Remember my shopping list? Well, I didnt' get any pants because I bought some books -- Biz Stone's book and 3 titles (Voodoo Moon, Gypsy Enchantment
& Legacy of Merlin) of Charmed books, instead of just 1. They were on sale, so why not? KL shopping centre is on "SALE-spree" again. I wonder what is it for. I know I should not question it, but inquisitive mind wants to know. It is not the "Malaysian Mega Sale" period, neither it is any "Festive Promotion" period. Somebody said maybe its "SARS Sale" period *sick* On that note, Singapore is now lifted-off from "SARS Infected Country" list. Perhaps I should visit my friend Liz and her new daughter next month or so. That would be fun.

Oh, and I haven't been online for 2 days, and look what happened. Perhaps I should advertise my site there, it sure will give me more traffic.. hehe..

Unloading The Matrix

I went to watch the The Matrix: Reloaded last Saturday at GSC Midvalley. It is really not a bad movie. If you have watched the first movie, I'd think you'll like the sequal as well. But I just love Neo's long coat. All men should wear them! Hehe. Anyhow, overall, except the part where Morpheus gave a very LONG & LOUD speech, I'd give it 3.5 out of 5 stars. I'm not going to elaborate how it ends or what the movie is about (go watch yourself!) I personally think the movie is what The Sims or SimCity would become in the future. *wink*

I also want to complain about the censorship and rating given to this movie. Come on, if the Board would rate it "18SX", why do they have to cut the kissing scenes? It's like if there is a kissing or make out scenes that last for more than 2 mins (or if it last more than a blink of an eye), they'll cut it right off. Might as well rate The Matrix to "U" then. Because after all that, it is really OK for all to view. *sigh*

Another thing, parents, PLEASE, don't bring in your underage kids to an "18SX / SG" movie. It defeats the purpose of movie rating, really. And it is so annoying when the kids got all restless coz it's really not their kind of movie. They should have gone to watch Agent Cody Banks, it is more relevant appropriate. So please, be a responsible parent and don't expose your child too early, too soon. Don't go off saying I don't have kids, therefore I don't know what I am saying. I definately won't bring mine to those that are not for under 18.

Enough said.
