LIFE & DEATH...

Today was a gloomy day.   Time and again death makes us realize how fragile life is.  One moment we are here, the next, who knows.  I received news of a colleague's demise this morning with great shock.  I saw him during lunch yesterday, eating his usual chapatti.  I saw him  again, when he came over to my department, to fix the LCD projector for a meeting.  And today, he's gone forever.

I'm sadden by it.  He's such a sweet man.  He's always around to help you whenever you need it.  He never lets you down.  He met with an accident late last night, on the way home.  Hit & run, they say.   It must be hard on the family.  The wife and kids, waiting at home for him, and he never returns.

A NEW BEGINNING... AGAIN!!??

It's a new year, thus they gave me a new boss.  Well, actually, he was on study leave when I came on board to the department.  Then, I was reporting to the "Acting Head", since March last year.  I've changed bosses 4 times since 2001.  This is so NOT good!  Now I have to re-establish my performance with a new boss.  I'm tired.  I feel like I've been wasting my time here.

Well, I do hope there will be an opportunity for me to upgrade myself this year.   My other colleagues have moved on, and I'm still at where I was 3 years ago.  Time for a change...
